THREATS
illegal tradings
Tigers are hunted for traditional medicine, including their blood, bones and sexual organs. Not to forget their skin and other body parts. Bones are the most valuable part of the tiger, more so than the skin. Their skin, skull, claws and canine teeth are traded as trophies and talismans while their meat are serve as exotic dishes in restaurants.

conflict with humans
The nature of the tiger and man indicates that there is a conflict anywhere both homes touch or overlap. People compete for accommodation and food with the tiger. These experiences lead to the death of animals or, in rare but serious cases, of humans. Both lead to tiger evacuation.

habitat loss
Due to deforestation and fragmentation, the Malayan tiger has lost their habitat. This causes the tigers to move from one location to another. Fragmentation of habitats threatens the possibility of road-killing wildlife.
